Acceptance?

Good morning and happy Friday. How narrow minded do you think Jesus was in His time here among us? Not very. How accepting was He? Ah the kicker. We as humans are narrow minded and tend to be non accepting or on the other end of accepting it all. The difference is that we are not accepting, of people, because of the things they do or who they are. Jesus can't not accept people. His Father created them. We have to find the place where we love humankind and not condone what they do, but love each other because we're all God made. When people feel that kind of love from another human, that's when lives change. It's the moment they mark and look back to at a later time as the point where their life seemed to matter. If you don't believe me, look back and you can see where God left His mark on you. Look at what was going on when it happened. Everything about Him is good. Why do we fight so hard to not be with Him? Love the sinner, just like Jesus does. Because He loves you too. We are all sinners. None better than another. Love each other. Work through the sin together. Let Jesus keep it nailed to the cross for you. Accept the person not the sin. Put it down and carry it no more. A very high price was paid for that to happen. So sinner, do you want to be accepted? Then be willing to do the same that you asking for yourself. In love always. <><

No More Tomorrows

Good morning and happy Thursday. I wonder what questions and things the disciples had for Jesus that they put off til tomorrow. I'll ask tomorrow. I'll do that tomorrow. I'll call them tomorrow. I'll get saved tomorrow, or at least later. Really? Do we ever do what we put off. Not most of the time. Let's have lunch and catch up. Call me sometime and we'll talk about it. We can't keep doing this. It's one of my worst traits. Last minute rush. I'm getting better but not well enough. God's work and plans for us can't wait. We need to be obedient and better at it. We're not promised tomorrow. It could be over today and not another day on this earth will there be. I don't wanna half way do this anymore. It's got to be full on. God will take care of the things we think are so important. We have to show trust in Him and really do it. If tomorrow doesn't come, I hope that I have done what was needed of me. If tomorrow doesn't come I hope that we had that cup of coffee, lunch, or phone call. I love always. <><

No Excuses

Good morning and happy Wednesday. What is your ministry like? What do people see when they look at you? The thing they don't want to see is excuses. When Christians mess up in their walk, that's when everybody jumps on them and points a finger at how hypocritical they are. It's in those moments when we need to be able to be humble and admit our mistake and ask for forgiveness. Let them see your weakness in yourself but your strength in God. That's when they see what God can do. Life is full of mistakes and ah ohs. It's what we do and where we turn in those moments that makes us who we are. Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope. He is faithful and true. He will never forsake you. Trust Him with everything and everything will be ok. Be honest in your love for Him. Pretending won't get you there. In love always. <><

GPS

Good morning and happy Tuesday. GPS, the saver of many marriages. Before the advent of this wonderful technology, man had just two ways of getting somewhere he'd never been before; a map and local knowledge. If you couldn't read a map, you better be able to swallow some pride to ask for directions. But the GPS has freed us from that. We can do it alone and need no help from anyone. It seems to me that we just keep coming up with ways to do things by ourselves with no help. Does anyone see the danger in that? I'm not saying it's a terrible thing but just a look at where we're going. To people who are lost, spiritually, being alone is the worst way to be. But our society keeps telling them it's ok to do it by yourself. You don't need other people in your life. And by alone I mean mot having God and Christian folks around you leading you away from Satan. It's just a different way of looking at a world that is run, at this time, by evil. I think we forget that. I love GPS. I love to visit with the locals about their town and where the best stuff really is better though. Communion among His people. Not being afraid to ask for help. Not being afraid to be lead to a life of salvation. Use God's directions. You'll see all the good stuff that way. In love always. <><

Simple Times

Good morning and happy Monday. I left my moms yesterday and drove by the park we grew up playing in. I saw families having picnics and kids playing in the water. Everyone having a good time. The simple things in life. I got to my house and took a once around our park and a few blocks. Nothing. Life can get to complicated and the simple things are lost. Jesus did His ministry in a simple straight forward way. Nothing too complicated to keep Him in His house working out the plan for it to be best. Just plain and simple and out in the park where the simple times are. We've got to slow down and put our desires on hold a while so we can do what we're called to do. I have great memories in that park. All of it simple and so not complicated. We couldn't afford complicated. And I'm so glad. Jesus just isn't that hard. He's just an easy guy so that everyone gets it. We are the ones that complicate it all. Enjoy life in the park with Jesus. In love always. <><
