God's Got It

Good morning and happy Monday. When you find yourself alone in a desert of life, don't we always seem to be able to find God. He's always with us. And when no one else seems to be there or get it, He is and He does. What token then, of appreciation do we show Him in return? Usually we can't make the time for Him. We forget shortly after the crisis and go right back to the way we were doing things before. The purpose of the crisis that lead us to our desert was to learn and grow from the errors we were making before. We have to see these as opportunities for our growth and more reliance on Him. Instead of a slogan of " I got this" it needs to be "He's got this". Let Him have those things and then you can have more time with Him and grow a deeper relationship. Gratitude and thankfulness is how we should feel when we find ourselves in the green pastures. When we reach that point the desert isn't as bad as it once was. Spend more time with Him everyday. In love always. <><

Ready the Soil

Good morning and happy Friday. So as every good parent knows, you can't give your kid everything they want. Some things are bad or can hurt them and some, they are just not ready for. Hmm, that's sounds familiar. In order for a crop to do well the soil has to be ready. It has to be prepared for what is needed so that a crop can grow. Sometimes when God doesn't seem to be moving in our lives, it may be we're not ready yet for what He wants from us. Our hearts are the field that the seed is planted in. It has to be tilled and made ready. A hard heart will not receive the seed and let it take root. Even in our areas of suffering, God can make us fruitful. You have to be willing to see beyond your circumstances. He has not forsaken or forgot you, it's just that some soil takes more plowing to get ready. In love always <><

Let The Lord Lead

Good morning and happy Thursday. When Joseph was young his brothers were jealous and sold him. A king bought him and put him in charge of everything because everything he did was successful. He was accused of a crime and put in prison. He then was in charge of that too. Not a good life really. But the Lord was with him. He told the king what some dreams meant and was put in charge of the nation. From the time he was young til then was a while. A grown man and he was shown favor because of the Lord. In the end he feeds his brothers and father with the grain stored up under his charge and he saves the lives of ones who took his. God is at work all the time. We don't see all the things that are happening in order for a few things to come to pass. We just have to trust Him. Follow Him and obey His direction. If you're lost in the woods and the ranger says go this way, you go. He knows the way, right? God knows the way. He sent His Son to be the way. Why is this part so hard for us to do. Follow after the urging you feel from God and see if the way is not better than you knew. In love always. <><

Sin is Sin

Good morning and happy Wednesday. By now you've heard the verdict in Florida. And like the people who stood around the TV at my job you're probably just as mad as they were. I'm glad none of us are the final judges in any ones last trial. She may have made a mistake, but haven't we all. Sin is sin. Hers is not greater than mine or yours. It's what happens from here that matters. Have we forgotten that God is in control. I'm willing to bet that He has a better idea of the things that need to happen than we do. We are so quick to spew out hatred and anger and so hesitant to give out love and compassion. We need to change that. Love the sinner, hate the sin. Love what God made, hate what He despises. She needs love and help. And as for her standing before God and letting Him deal her, we all will do that and my sin and her sin are the same. Stop using that phrase in a negative way. Repentance, capable by the blood of Jesus makes it possible for her to see her daughter again in Heaven. We all need to be glad in that. Cause if not, none of us get in. There are consequences for our actions, make no mistake. That's the test of our love and devotion to Him. I pray that she, and we, see that. Lift her up in prayer today. All of them. In love always. <><

Freedom

Good morning and happy Tuesday. I hope you had a great day celebrating our freedom. We are so blessed in this country to be able to have the freedoms we do. To choose the things we want in and for our lives. But what are we doing with that? We tend to take those freedoms and only apply them to ourselves. Freedom isn't just something for us. It's something for us to use. To help with, to spread the news of Jesus with. It's a powerful thing our freedom. We are selfish with it and take it for granted a lot. We've had a military defend our freedom and a Savior who died for our ultimate freedom. We are truly blessed. And blessing are made to give away to those who need them more. There are people in this country who don't know true freedom. Find them and show them wherever you are. When we share our blessing this country becomes more blessed. Love is the key and a grateful heart to go with it is more powerful than anything. Share your freedom with others today. In love always <><

Starfish On the Beach

Good morning and happy Friday. Got this from an email one time; One evening when the tide was low, a boy was walking on the beach. Hundreds and thousands of starfish were stranded on the beach. The boy began throwing them back in the ocean. After a while a man walked up and asked what he was doing. "There are too many to make a difference young man". And as the man watched him think this over, the little boy picked up a starfish and threw it into the water. He turned to the man and said, "It made a difference to that one". We have chances placed before us that may seem too big. But everything starts when we decide to make a difference or a change. Our faith in God to do what He says is crucial. He doesn't give us the tools for the task until we decide to take the step of faith that He will provide. The difference we make just needs to be one person at a time. Go throw a starfish back in the water. In love always. <><

At the Airport

Good morning and happy Thursday. You know that feeling you have when someone has been gone and you see them again. The old airport type scene. It hasn't been a long time but enough for you to know they're gone. I love that. It just feels so fresh and new. You've missed them and now you know that. That they are a part of your life you really can't do without. When's the last time you met Jesus at the "airport"? When's the last time you really welcomed Him home? To feel that inside and to know that's how it's supposed to be. To know that you've missed Him. That He is a part of your life that can't be missing and no longer taken for granted. So hold up your "airport" sign that says says Jesus as you meet Him fresh and new again. Rejoice in His peace. In love always. <><

No Greater Love

Good morning and happy Wednesday. There is no greater love in this world than Gods love for us. And with us knowing that, we continue to go through life without receiving the full benefit of it. It is powerful and gentle. It can be harshly dealt out or sweetly poured over us. We are the ones who ultimately decide how it is received. We have to be able to bring ourselves to Him and bow down at His feet and to His will for us. Because really if His love is perfect and the best for us, why don't we want that all the time. Instead we make decisions that put us further away from Him and that perfect love. When all we need to do is draw closer to Him everyday. His love cannot be measured. His faithfulness to us is unmatched. Present your broken and weak spirit to the Lord and allow Him to lift you up and look deep into His eyes. To feel His love pour over you. To know He is God. In love always. <><

Touched By Jesus

Good morning and happy Tuesday. Back in "the" day, it was those unclean people that nobody would have anything to do with. But not Jesus. He loved everyone. And one day a leper had the courage to speak to Him to help him. With compassion Jesus touched Him and cured Him of a life long affliction. He was touched by Jesus. He was touched by Jesus and he was cured. What affliction do we carry that He can cure us of? We just have to ask Him. But with that faith comes responsibility. The leper went and told what had happen to everyone who would listen. The rest of his life was different because of it being touched by Jesus. What will you do for Him when yours is changed. Ask Him to touch you today. To cure you of whatever is keeping you from a life of servanthood to Him. Be touched by Jesus. In love always. <><

Clear; Re-do

Good morning and happy Monday. Ever so often I take a few minutes and clear my old history out of my phone. Missed calls, old texts, and web stuff to try and keep it running better and more effectively. As I hit the clear button it occurred to me, wouldn't it be nice to have that in our lives. A clear or redo button. And then just as fast a realized we do. It requires a little more than hitting a button but it does erase a past we would like to leave behind so we can continue to live better and more effectively. Calling on the name of Jesus is the way to make that happen and then living in His light and allowing Him to work in you is how it stays clean. Be bold in your choice though. Don't be timid. Let the world see what our Savior has done for us by what He's done in you. He is the only answer to this fallen world. In love always. <><

When Jesus Pops In

Good morning and happy Friday. Imagine sitting in a place looking at or thinking about something you shouldn't. A thought that may go through your head for just a second. And then at that moment Jesus pops in next to you and says " Whatcha thinkin about? ". Most of the time our thoughts are just that and they never become anything. But that's also where some of the dumbest stuff we do comes from. When we have Jesus and the Holy Spirit in us, we take that thought and filter it through them and then act on that, we will be all right. The filter comes in all forms. Mostly we have to listen to what is really being said to us and be willing to follow directions. Be prepared for the consequences when you don't. And then don't take this time in your life and say "see, this is why I'm mad at God". Don't for get the role we play in the things that happen to us. Sit and talk with Jesus and it won't be a surprise when He pops in on ya. In love always <><

Be Like the Rabbi

Good morning and happy Thursday. How in the world do we minister to a hurting and lost neighborhood? Not a world or country or city, just to your neighbor. It's only by example that people really learn. They need to see that it's real and it applies to them in their position of life. The teaching of the Rabbi is by doing. Jesus came to give us the example by which we are to learn. He taught His disciples what they would need to know to spread the Word effectively. The words He taught and the actions He did are still for us in the Bible. I'm not sure that the writers then knew of the impact of the things they wrote down. Just a small act of discipline on their part changed the world. Somebody in the neighborhood has to be the one to stand up and make it happen. The only way Christians, real Christians, help in this world is by doing what Jesus taught us with His life and with His sacrifice of His life. Become a servant. Be the one who will help when it's needed. I know you're tired. I know it's been a long day. But you're needed at the door, someone needs help. Help them. Show them the love of Christ. Do it in that same love and the rest you seek you will be given. In love always. <><

Anger

Good morning and happy Wednesday. Anger, it's never good. Poor decisions and thoughts usually come from it. Yet we seem to able to be consumed by it. Unable to let it go once it's got it's grip on us. People are angry at things for different reasons and they span the spectrum in variety. It's the devils biggest weapon. It's easy to be mad about things and at others. It's also easy to be mad at God. When we come to the realization that He is Lord of all and makes no mistakes, that's when being mad at Him is harder and understanding becomes clearer. That's where comfort against the enemy is found. There really are only two elements in this world among us. Good and evil. In this hurting world, we need to be a better example of His love. Love is what needs to be consuming us and our thoughts and actions. Start now and do it more and it becomes you. Like a really good habit. Lose the anger and put on the love and make a positive difference in the world. In love always. <><

We Are Not to Judge

Good morning and happy Tuesday. In this country today we have a tendency, myself included, to look at people and pass a little judgement on them by how they look or act. Pay attention today and see if you can catch yourself doing it. Until we have been in their shoes we have no idea what really may be going on. Jesus sees us right were we are and knows all the reasons we are what we are and the excuses we've made for not changing and yet He still loves us. We have to find a heart like His so we can help a fallen world. We each have and see people in our lives that are in deep need for the salvation He offers. Reach out your hand to those people and see if your views aren't the ones that change. They're not all homeless or heathens. They may be your mom or dad. Keep your heart eyes open for what God has for you to do and without reservation, do it. He loves us too much for us to not be active in His kingdom. In love always. <><

Who Do You Trust?

Good morning and happy Monday. Who do you trust? We all have that one person we trust. Not to keep a secret kind of trust, but if they say something, you listen. You believe in what they have told you and they've never let you down. Usually it's someone older and they are giving advise based on experience. You know, " been there done that". But what about the unknown of your life ahead. The direction it needs to take. The things you need and should be doing. There is only one place to find that, God. He is telling us every day of the things He wants us to be doing. It's when we trust Him to be there that the miracles begin to happen. Taking a blind step and trusting God to show up and be there with you is huge. And after one time they start to get a little easier getting you ready for the big one. He has a plan for our lives and we just have to trust Him to fulfill it. But we have to obey Him and follow His advise. There's no other place I want my trust to be than in Him. In love always. <><
